marked boardman pint baluster measure
this boardman pint measure, reference #323 in an american pewter collection is marked j-46 as well as initialed “a.l.f” and dated “1843”. Some of the MEASURES WERE verified with dates and initials. Others are signed by the maker also. In any event the initials and dates are more than satisfactory to assign manufacture to the Boardman company. completely marked measures command a premium, as many are only partialled marked (initials and dates only). this measure is in excellent condition and is well marked.
