16 ½” Pewter Dish by Robert & Thomas Porteus

$475.00

This is a special dish. It weighs over 5 pounds. No wonder they used pewter for ballast in shipment from England! It is marked by Robert & Thomas Porteus who worked in London circa 1762. There are owner’s initials on the front rim of “R. H.” This dish is in such good condition, we find it amazing despite showing knife marks (so you know it was used). No dents or anything bad. The marks are so great on this dish that the English Pewter Society wants to use it on their data base.
