8″ Teapot by Dixon and Smith, 1811-1822
James Dixon and Associates were prolific Sheffield pewterers. Much of their wares found its way to the United States where the pewter was copied by early 19th century New England pewterers (Trask, T.B.M. & Co., Reed and Barton, and others). This 8″ pot is in untouched condition with its original patina, original black painted wooden handle and finial. The condition of the pewter and mark is near mint.
