Hamlin Sr. Flowered Handle Porringer 5 ¼”

This porringer has a 5 ¼” bowl. It is marked by Samuel Hamlin Sr. who worked in Providence, RI from 1767-1801. The mark is found on the front of the handle. The condition of the metal is fine. The mark is strong. In Charles Montgomery’s book History of American Pewter, he lists 100 great examples of American pewter. On page 251 he lists a Hamlin flowered handle porringer.
