Israel Trask Pewter Teapot

This is called a Federal shaped teapot. It is one of the best of all American 19th Century teapots. With the engraving, you know it comes from Beverly, MA. This one is marked by Israel Trask and is 7” high. His working dates are 1807-1856. This is one of the earlier ones as it has the original wooden handle and finial with the original black paint. The engraving with the shield is an added bonus. It is mint condition and we call it a treasure.
