Marked English Pewter Dish
This deep dish is 14 ½” wide. It is just wonderful because of the well done hammered booge, the strong skimming marks and the terrific touch and hall marks. The mark is the early one of Thomas Townsend and Compton. They were Quakers and exported to the Quakers and Pennsylvania Dutch.
If you want a large deep dish, it doesn’t get any better. The condition of the metal is fine.
