Blakeslee Barnes worked in Philadelphia, PA from 1812-1217. He may have been a pewterer or possibly only a merchant, having pewter for sale made by Parks Boyd or Thomas Danforth III. In any event his pewter is well made and worthy of collecting. This 6” plate is an uncommon form and is in excellent condition and has an excellent mark.
