Set of Double Volute English Pewter Measures

$4,000.00

Double volute measures date from about 1750 to 1800. This grouping consists of the gallon, quart, pint, 1/2 pint, gill and 1/2 gill. Anyone who wants this set will have first refusal if we get a ½ gallon size. Many of these sets were mixed combining Buds and Double Volutes. The gallon has “SM” marked on the lid and “CM” on the lip. The quart has “CP” marked on the lid for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The pint and gill have “WR” marked on the lid with a crown above it. The ½ pint has “AD & SD” marked on the lid.
