Spice Pot

This spice pot is 4″ high. Small containers with unpierced covers served as spice pots. The 18th century examples have baluster shape and their screw top covers have a dome appearance with a pronounced finial. An example is seen in Hornsby’s “Pewter of the Western World” on page #149, figure #420. It is Dutch and circa 1800. The condition is fine.
