Treasury Ink Stand

This English treasury ink stand is complete with pounce pot and ink bottle support. Usually these are missing in similar ink stands. In the famous picture of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, on each writing arm Windsor chair, a treasury ink stand is shown. The middle compartment was used for seals and the larger section for quills. The ink stand is complete with no mends or repairs. The measurements of the piece are 1 ¾” (height) x 5 ¼” (width) x 7 ½” (length).
